What is an e-book?
E-book means electronic book and it is a digital edition of a printed book. You can read e-books on your pc, your Mac or mobile devices.
Probably the printed book will not be complete substituted by e-books, but there are good reasons for choosing the e-book:
- The e-book is not just a book on a screen. It's a whole new media with a range of interesting technical opportunities.
- The e-book is particularly well suited for users of non-fiction and educational books. You may just buy a chapter or rent the book for a limited time.
- Instead of carrying heavy books you just download the e-books to your laptop.

What is the right format for me?
E-books are available in several formats- DX Reader, Microsoft Reader, Adobe Reader and iSilo Reader. Not all titles are available in all formats.
DX Reader is for online reading. More info at DX Reader format.
Microsoft Reader is for reading books that have been downloaded to the computer. More info at Microsoft Reader format.
Adobe Digital Editions is the most common e-book reader programme. The e-book is downloaded as a file to your computer. More info at Adobe Reader format.
iSilo Reader is especially made for reading e-books at pda's or mobile phones. More info at iSilo Reader format.

Which options do I have in the e-bookstore?
You can buy or rent e-books and in most cases also chapters of books. For info on the reader formats please refer to Ebook readers.

How do I buy or rent an e-book?
When you have found the e-book you want, you decide if you want to buy or rent it. Click on the button and the on the price, which is shown in red.
You are now requested to login. If you are a new customer we will require a number of information. If you are an existing customer use your username and password to login.
The e-book is in the shopping basket and you can select to continue shopping or go to check out, through the banking portal DIBS.
Once payment is concluded pick up the e-book at My pages.

How can I view my books?
After downloading the e-book you can read it in Adobe Digital Editions. You will find your book in the library in Adobe DE.

Can I print e-books?
As a general rule you can print from books you have bought but not from rented books.

How much is an e-book and what is the price compared to printed books?
Usually the e-book edition is cheaper than the printed edition.

How can I pay?
You can use a creditcard or our Wallet system.
|

Use of creditcard
When you use creditcard you will be transfered to DIBS for secure transaction. For more info go to www.dibs.dk. We add a charge of DKK 2,50 to every creditcard transaction.

Using My Wallet
My Wallet is an alternative to using creditcard. It is well suited for micro payments, since you save the creditcard charge.
You can deposit to your Wallet by paying with creditcard. All payments using My Wallet will be shown in the balance.

Do I get a receipt?
All your purchases will be registered on My Pages. We will also e-mail you a receipt with all details. If the transaction is not successfull we will not draw the amount from your Wallet or creditcard.

How is the e-book edition compared to the printed?
Usually the e-book contains precisely the same as the printed edition.

Can I get technical support?
Your questions will be delt with ASAP, usually within the next working day.

How do I refer to the e-book?
All e-book have their own individual ISBN and most have pagina as well.
|

Can I have the e-book for review?
Many e-books will give you a list of content and a sample for review.
|

What happens to my e-books in case of break down?
Your e-books can be downloaded from My Pages at all times. When you use Adobe Digital Editions reader, we recommend that you authorize your computers with Adobe, since this will allow you to read the e-boks at several computers.

Do I have a right of return?
There is no right of return for e-books.
